Sometimes summer Saturdays are just busy. I know I posted about a different one a while back, but here we go again. :) Derek was up early and out back filling up water balloons to start things off. The boys decided to take their breakfast out to the patio so they could watch.
Then of course, they helped, or at least took inventory!
We packed up the balloons, took some snacks and drinks and headed to Cooper's baseball tournament.
Miles had some tooth fairy money burnin' a hole in his pocket, so he bought a snow cone. His exact words when he asked to spend his $1 was, "Can I waste this on a snow cone?"! 😂
He's such a good big brother too... he shared with Owen.
Cooper's team lost their first game of the tournament, so they were out. :(
Which actually worked great for our schedule, since we had a church worship team get-together next. Owen was already wiped out by then, so he had a lawn nap while the picnic got started.
He slept for quite a while, even when our friend, Asia, really wanted him to wake up. :)
Everyone else started eating.
And after they moved to the table for shade, even got to enjoy a soda.
Derek and I got to eat too, all while Owen slept.
Then, with bellies full, the kids used the water balloons!
(We'd have already been back at Cooper's next game had they won. Whew. I mean, bummer.)
That was about the time Owen woke up.
He mostly liked watching the chaos, while holding a balloon.
Then he got to have lunch.
After the picnic, we had an evening at home (that alternatively could have been spent at the baseball diamond. Bummer. 😏) so we pulled out the baby pool!
And found that it came with this handy badge!
Owen had seconds of dessert inside my lounge chair.
And then swam! The big boys didn't last long saying the water was too cold.
Owen didn't mind, but he did get in and out a lot! :)
We wrapped up pool time and Owen had a bath then joined me on the couch for some evening coffee. Or milk.
