Summing Up Summer 2017 - "Cousins"

I think it was four days after we'd been home from the Iowa/Missouri/Arkansas trip, we had guests!  Aunt Amy, Zella, Laney and Archie came to stay a night.  They were continuing from the wedding in Arkansas and doing a "Midwest Tour" if you will!

Owen showed Archie around his room.

They played with toys for quite a while.

While my big boys taught Zella & Laney how to play Monopoly Empire.

Then it was outside for some backyard fun.

We even ate dinner out there.

So the kids ran off a lot of energy all evening.

Or jumped off energy.

So we gave them sugar. :)

Ice cream for dessert!

Then played some more to work it off. 

Baths were taken and a few more minutes of play time squeezed in.

And a quick round of Monopoly Empire before bed.

Zella & Laney slept in the basement with Amy, Archie camped out in the boys' room.

Amy brought fresh eggs from her friend's chickens in Southern Illinois, their previous stop.

Yum!

As soon as breakfast was over, they wanted to play another round of Monopoly Empire!

Then headed to the backyard for a while.

These cute kiddos get confused about how they're related, so we just call them cousins.
(They're actually Derek's cousins)

Archie looks sad since he had just been the victim of a rock selling scandal. :-/

Then it was time to say goodbyes.

It's always fun to catch up with family we don't see often.

We're so glad they stopped on their Tour of the Midwest!
