The Adventure in Vegas Begins

I don't fly often, but always enjoy the view from the air. 

 I had a window seat so I was able to take some obligatory 'from the plane window' photos.

And saw the Hoover Dam as we flew over.

We arrived in Las Vegas and found it's true that you can start gambling as soon as you land! (We didn't. 😏)

We took an Uber from the airport to our hotel/casino/resort, the Mirage.

Where there was a fish tank behind the front desk.  I'm sure you can guess who I took this photo for... I knew by boys would have loved it. 😃

We settled into our room, then headed back out to grab some dinner.  We had to walk through the casino to go anywhere.  I'm not sure how many visits it would take for me to not see the 'gambling culture' as so odd.  So odd.   And so much money.  HA. 

It was all a bit overwhelming.   Any new city is tricky with no one along who has been there before.  But Vegas is quite, uh, eccentric?  I'd also only had two hours of sleep...  so a good night's sleep was the first thing on my 'must do/see' list!
