Night Life?

I spent time lounging around the hotel room and got ready for bed thinking Derek's meeting would go pretty late.   He was back at the room before 9pm though and by Vegas standards, that's early!  Mind you, that was pacific time.  But I changed out of my PJ's and we went to see the strip at night.

The buildings are so HUGE that you can see them and think, "That's not far, lets walk over there." and then you walk and walk and walk and walk before you reach it!  It also makes the walk farther when you kinda have to zig zag around to cross walks or to pedestrian bridges, there is hardly a straight shot to get anywhere.   BUT, we walked around Caeser's Palace that night and then wandered into the Bellagio.

As we came out, the fountains were going.  They do a show every 15 minutes, so we caught the very end and watched as the water swayed to a beautiful classical song.

Then we decided to hang around to see the entire next show...   with cameras ready.  :)

Here is the (kinda long) video of part of it...  it was fun.   I'm sure you'll especially like it if you're a Michael Jackson fan.  haha.

Derek let me snap his photo by the 'Eiffel Tower'.

He's used to me taking photos of everything and lagging behind.  I didn't even realize until later though, that I'd totally caught his, "What are you taking a photo of now?" look.... 😂

It was around that time we spotted the "Sprinkles" and went in to take a look.

We looked.

And looked.

And somehow ended up sitting at the counter with two cupcakes eating them off of the cutest little wooden forks you've ever seen.  😊

We needed the nourishment for the walk back.  Or something. :)
I'm only slightly joking.  Even when we got back to our own hotel lobby, it was approximately another mile or so 😜 up to the room.  Trekking through the casino/restaurants/shops and then down the hall of a 3,000 capacity hotel...    whew!
