You might remember that the big boys got Spinner Sharks from Grandpa Don for Christmas. They've enjoyed them even on warm days this winter, but have really gotten some use out of them with spring arriving. They whip around the neighborhood like maniacs, as you can see.
They've even come up with a few tricks, including this new 'dismount'.
All this fun has done a number on their shoes!! Miles' started first, since he apparently drags his toes more. But eventually, both boys had worn completely through their shoes!
I started to worry that they would also start to wear through their socks, then what's next? Toes!? So instead of letting them get new shoes to ruin, I decided to patch them! 😏 I cut up an old yogurt container...
And duct taped the pieces to the toes of their shoes.
Problem solved!!
Oh, wait, Miles isn't so sure about this solution. Ha!
Which proved to not last long anyway. oh.boy.
They both wore through their right shoe patch, then it eventually fell off.
It's literally eating away at the entire shoe, sole and all!
Cooper recently told me that their shoes are getting worse because they've also worn through the brakes on the spinner sharks... causing them to drag their feet in order to slow down.
I think we might have a bigger issue at hand?! 😱
