Thanksmas in Iowa

In the middle of November, we made the trip over to Iowa for the Mleynek Family "Thanksmas" celebration.  We stayed in a condo with Derek's parents so enjoyed some time with them.  Owen pre-gamed the family dinner with a  morning nap...

Which helped him enjoy the celebrations.   And cake.
(We ate a lot of great food!)

Our nephew, Mason, also wanted in on the cake.  Or at least the whipped topping. :)

After we stuffed our bellies full, G'pa Don had gifts for the littlest kiddos.

So they gathered around to open them.

My big boys got "Spinner Shark Kneeboards".

Owen got a sport activity game with a basketball hoop and soccer goal.

💕 Next we talked the kids into a photo op with their Grandparents. 💕

💗 And then a photo with the Mleynek Cousins. 💗

Owen really just wanted to stay in the office and look at Uncle Den's deer mounts.

They also went outside for a while to run off some food steam.

Derek and his brother, Tyler, climbed the hay bales with their boys.

Then they checked out the cows.

Owen knows what a cow says, but he was really checking these big, huge farm cows out!  They look a little different than his Little People variety at home.
