We try to get our Life Group together at one of the family's parent's home on a lake at least once every summer. We headed out there on a nice night recently. Owen wanted to explore, so he got strapped into this tiny life jacket while he looked around.
He also held my hand.
We walked down to the dock.
Where we saw Cooper handling the worms and hooking them on for everyone who didn't want to touch them.
Both Cooper and Miles like to tell people how to fish (insert eye roll) but thankfully some thought their advice useful. (Cooper caught four fish, none of them while I was around to take a photo though.)
We were still present when someone snagged a fish, so Owen got a close up view.
There was fishing off the bank too.
That's where Daddy caught one and asked Owen if he wanted to see it.
Then touch it.
He declined kissing it though.
Back on the patio, Owen chased ants around.
We headed inside to eat and he found a bee.
A bear dressed as a bee! He kept climbing up on this bench to cuddle with it.
We enjoyed roasted hot dogs... and sides.
Then some went back out to fish or sit by the fire. Some of us found the toys and played inside for a while.
We all managed to have at least one s'more. Mmmm.
