The Main Event

The 'main event', the reason we had all gathered in Wichita, was my cousin's wedding.  So Friday evening, we got all dressed up...

And headed to the wedding.  The 40 minute drive was a bit much for a couple of my boys.  They've been playing hard at G'ma's house!

It was an outdoor wedding.  We arrived and parked and before I even got out of the van, I looked out my window to see that Cooper had already captured a toad!

We made our way to the ceremony area...

Which was right across the driveway from where the reception would be held.

It was a great location and they were pretty much prepared for everything. :)

We got there early enough to help with a few last minute decorations.

And take a quick photo of Mom & Dad and the grandkids.

Then before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to start.
McKenna looked so elegant!  She was also calm, cool and relaxed, obviously enjoying herself.  It was beautiful.

Miles entertained himself with creatures during the ceremony.

While I ended up taking Owen to the back where he played in the water tank.
He even tried to crawl all the way in once.

Again, it was a beautiful ceremony in a beautiful setting.

And then, they were hitched! :)

They hadn't seen each other before the wedding, so while they snuck away with the photographer to take some photos, their guests enjoyed s'mores and lemonade.

Once they were back and mingling, we stole McKenna for a photo with all the cousins.
(And our parents)

Then we settled in to enjoy the reception.

With lights that added a fun atmosphere once it got dark.

But didn't provide great lighting for phone photos.  Ha.  I think someone, maybe some of the kids, are on the dance floor here.

We all enjoyed the evening.

The time to spend with family celebrating.

And some enjoyed the outdoor setting for obvious reasons!

Congratulations to the newlyweds, Michael & McKenna!
