Owen was supporting himself so well that I started working with him on sitting up. I set him inside the boppy pillow to help, or catch him if he tipped over.
Which he did, but got better quickly and could balance with just a little support.
Then before I knew it, he wasn't tipping over as often.
And was very proud of his new bottom balancing skill.
He can see his world from a whole new perspective!
I did keep putting a pillow behind him while he played for quite a while.
(Playing with spiders?)
Or sometimes pillows to his side.
(while wearing reindeer antlers?)
But he eventually stopped needing them.
He's a pro at sitting up these days!
Sadly, he's quickly leaving the 'sit and play' stage. He knows how to roll to the side without falling over so that he can roll away. Pretty sure he'll be crawling in no time!
