Festival of Lights

Another festive activity we like to do in December is the Festival of Lights.
We actually had the same issue with this event as we did with Santa.  We were going to stop by there one night since we were in East Peoria...  and the line of cars was so long to get in that we decided against it.  But another night, we planned knowing there would be a line and were willing to wait a while.

It wasn't as long as the last time we'd tried, so we were in pretty quickly.

The following photos may all look the same to you.  :)

But driving through the park with the lights is really beautiful in person!

My big boys are starting to remember from the previous years and favorites.

They watch for the Batmobile with excitement!

Not sure what you'll see, or hear, but there was some video too.

Down the road from the park with the lights, is the nativity.  We always make sure to swing by there. We talked about the Christmas story as we went through. It's kind of solemn, but we couldn't help but crack up when Miles suddenly exclaimed, "Hey! Those are just cardboard people!"!
