Bigger Bicycles

We've been working hard to wrap up school for the year...  even working through lunch sometimes!

Because the weather is warning up and we're ready to be outside doing fun things.  Like riding bikes. The problem is, the boys had both outgrown their bikes...  it was time to upgrade.

We've been watching for used bikes and sales for a bigger one for Cooper for months, but finally bit the bullet and bought one through Walmart.com.  We picked it up after church last Sunday, since the Wal-Mart that had it in stock was closer to church than home.

 We also bought some storage toters...

I might finally have a little nesting going on and we're organizing!

Cooper didn't know we'd purchased the bike, so it was a surprise when we picked it up!

It needed just a little adjusting...

Then he was off and riding!

While Daddy was working with Cooper, Miles found the training wheels for Cooper's old bike.

And went ahead and tried to get them on.  Daddy finished with Cooper then helped Miles finish, after he put him on without the training wheels once or twice.  Miles was just as terrified as he told us he would be and opted to stick with training wheels for a while.

Perfect!  These big bikes are much better.

Later that day, we headed over to Bicycle Safety Town since it was so nice out.

Where some of us are not only thankful for the fun place to ride bikes but also for the facilities they offer. 

It also brought the first skinned knee of the season.

...which wasn't bad at all!
