After our adventures at Gatorland, we made our way back to our hotel. They boys were pretty sure they needed some refreshments. We somehow ended up on a premium floor when we booked online, so we had a code that let us get free, unlimited snacks and drinks from the vending machine! The boys were all over this... even if it kept spitting out diet coke no matter what drink we asked for.
We changed and headed down to enjoy the pool for a while.
Miles found a beetle and played with it, until it accidentally went down the filter drain.
He shed a few tears over it, but was soon up and jumping off the side into the pool again.
And soon they found another friend, a ladybug on Cooper's goggles.
It was a fun afternoon spent in the pool.
And some water wrestling ended the fun. Miles usually wins, we'll thank the floaties.
After a little drying off in the sun...
We hit up the managers reception on our way through the lobby.
We enjoyed more free drinks and snacks. :)
While we watched KU play in the Big 12 tournament for a while.
A hotel highlight? Using a key card to unlock the door.
We showered and relaxed for a little while... these guys are quite into the hotel life.
We loaded up and went to "Discount Disney" :)
Downtown Disney, to walk around.
Well, some of us walked.
It's just a small taste of Disney World, without the price tag. Ha. And a small taste of the crowds too. Maybe some people enjoy that when on vacation, but it's not really our thing. So.many.people.
We did check out some fun souvenirs.
Our goal was to get somewhere we'd be able to see the fireworks, but actually, we barely saw. Miles wouldn't have seen them anyway... he was fast asleep by then!
We were out late enjoying our last night in Florida.
