My brother's wife was due to have a baby shortly after Christmas. We were all really hoping this baby girl would make her appearance while we were all in town, but she didn't, she stayed nice and cozy in her Mama's belly. Which we took a picture of along with my bitty belly, since we have no idea when these babies will meet.
She cooked a couple more weeks then made her appearance on January 9th.
Meet Kyndall June Bauer!
She weighed in at 8lbs, 8oz and 21 inches long.
I'm so proud of the new parents. They had a planned home birth and Candice labored for nearly three days with a bit of a rough go of it. She lost a lot of blood after delivery and it left her weak and exhausted. Drew has taken good care of her (and her Mom stayed with them) and all are feeling well now.
...and Candice says it was all worth it! :)
It's fun to see pictures of my brother completely smitten by such a tiny bundle.
Who wouldn't be by this little face though?
My parent's met her and sent some pictures to help ease the distance.
And Drew is doing a great job of keeping his sisters supplied with photos.
Congratulations, Drew & Candice!
We can't wait to meet Kyndall.
Although this was a slight interruption in "Christmas Happenings Posts"...
back to it tomorrow, with Christmas Day.
