Near the end of August, our church had a picnic.
After church one Sunday, we all headed to the park.
Where we gathered to eat lunch.
The church provided fried chicken and everyone brought sides and desserts.
YUM!
There was a playground...
Where some of the kids played.
...with friends.
But the main attraction (for my boys) was the mud puddle.
Oh, and the bugs.
But the mud puddle provided a lot of entertainment. Pretty sure we were all wishing it was a lake or pool... the heat index was about 105ยบ that day!
Once they started using cups to play in the water they had even more fun.
It was nice to chat with friends.
And I got to sit by my favorite person.
