We got back from Wichita on a Friday and were leaving on Thursday for Iowa to celebrate Independence Day. So that gave me only a little time to get ready... :)
My house was messy for lack of me caring about my housewife duties, but I completed the boy's shirts!
So then we stuck their hair up...
And took some Independence Day photos.

By July 3rd we had enough clean laundry to put in suitcases and hit the road.
We stopped at the Mleynek Farm first and said Hello to G'pa Don and G'ma Neva.
...and then explored and found the cows.
And harassed a baby bird that was hiding under the four wheeler.
Then we headed over to the Van Gundy Farm and met up with "cousins".
Then we went to settle in at this bed and breakfast where we'd be staying. Dale's cousin and wife own it and have been renovating it but aren't open for business yet. They let us stay for the weekend though, it was great!
Officially ready for the celebrations!
