Tulips

April showers... 

Bring May flowers!  The side of our house along the garage has sprouted tulips!

(I always think it's fun to see what pops out of the ground during the first spring in a new house!)

I was pretty excited when the first buds started to open.

Hello, pretty flower.

The white tulips opened first.

But there were signs of other colors.

Next we saw red.

We've been enjoying checking on them.

But there were even more buds.

And out came yellow...

Pink...

And purple, my favorite!

They were all open at the same time for a while.

Then one day I started to notice flowers missing off their stem.

Something enjoyed a nice tulip lunch, I guess.

So I cut some and brought the in where I could keep them to myself.

Then I decided to bring a few more in to join them.

I love the beauties on my table, safe and sound.
