Grandparent Visit!

The weekend after Miles had surgery, Derek's parents came to visit.

::::Side Note:  Just want to mention that I have the best in-laws.  I knew they wouldn't judge me by the condition of my house, especially with the week we had, so I didn't even worry about cleaning!  And I was right, they didn't even care.:::::  They're pretty great in the grandparent roll too!  :)  They brought my obsessed-with-How to Train Your Dragon-three-year-old a new dragon.  He was thrilled. He'd watched the movie about 84 times in the previous four days.

They brought something else to....

A TRAMPOLINE! 

Cooper was SO excited and helped the guys put it together.

It's a nice addition to our backyard.

Miles did calmer activities, like play games with Grandma.

And both boys did some target practice with Grandpa.

Derek took this and I'm curious what was said, or if the boys are looking at Dale or each other...

Cooper did a lot of jumping all weekend... usually asking someone to wrestle with him.

Grandma & Grandpa took their turn too.

Miles laid in his bed for over an hour and didn't fall asleep.

But once snuggled into Grandpa he went right out.

...while Debbie shampooed the carpets.

(Told you they're the best!)

Cooper & Miles convinced their grandparents to watch "How to Train Your Dragon" and see what all the hype was about.  I think they all enjoyed it.

We all went to church the next day and then Dale took us out for lunch before they hit the road.

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings.

 Where we watched the KU game... which ended very sadly!

At least the wings were good!

Then we said our goodbyes after a really nice weekend.

Miles might have overdone a little, he felt pretty rough the next few days.  Bummer.

(and bummer that the Shockers lost that day too!)

Also a bummer...  winter showed it's face again and snowed on the new trampoline!

We'll take the bad with the good.  And spring is coming!
