We've been enjoying our Christmas decorations and tree...now that it's staying up.
We didn't get any lights on the outside of the house this year, but have been enjoyed our neighbor's. A few have a lot of lights! We plan to try to get some on clearance after Christmas so we can join the party next year.
We've also been getting our shopping done. Which the boys find exhausting.
Especially when we have to keep retracing our steps back through the store for Miles to remember where he last had his list of things cousin Lily would like for Christmas!
To keep up their energy, these guys talked me into letting the split a corn dog.
They also got to shop for each other. Dollar Tree is the easiest place to do this without telling them they can't buy something eye catching a super expensive. They're very generous with each other, especially since they don't have much concept of price tags. Also funny that they gravitate toward the things they would like to see under the tree.
Derek's office is near Dollar Tree so I took turns taking them over there...
While the other brother stayed with Daddy for a few minutes.
Another event to help us feel festive was the AWAWNA program. We all watched "Merry Larry" a VeggieTale Christmas movie then had a circle of lights wishing Jesus a Happy Birthday.
HE is the reason we celebrate after all.
And cupcakes are a good way to remember that. :)
Cooper is all about wrapping the gifts he's giving this year.
Which makes me cringe just a little since one of my favorite things is wrapping gifts and making them pretty.
But really, this is way sweeter than my wrapping job by far.
We managed to get ours wrapped and ready for opening. Which is good because we decided to do so much earlier this year because of our travel schedule.
