Going to the Chapel

It was wedding day!  We got up and got ready to head to the church.
There was to be an 11am family wedding, followed by a public open house from 2-4pm.

More family arrived in town in time for the wedding.
Uncle Orv & Aunt Rita!

Mona 'rolled' in with her kiddos too.
(Sorry. Ha.)

It was almost time.
I snuck in and took a few pictures of Jan getting ready with her daughter.

There were preparations going on for the ceremony too.
....or something!

And by then it was time for everyone to find a seat.

I was running around taking pictures,
so Derek entertained the boys.

Ready to begin.

Here comes the bride!

Grandpa was to meet Jan halfway and walk her up the aisle.
He ran to her!

Hugged her...

And off they went to get married.

Jan's son, Stephen, did the ceremony.
Grandpa's son, my uncle Mark, stood with him.
And Jan's daughter, Colleen, stood with her.

It was a special and beautiful wedding.

...which Miles missed.

Grandpa and Jan took communion.

And then served communion to their kids.

Who then served the rest of us.

Cooper asked Jesus into his heart a little over a year ago.
Since he's done that, it means he gets to participate in communion.
It makes my heart happy to see him love Jesus.

And with all that done, the bride and groom were pronounced "Husband & Wife"!

And off they went!

We didn't let them go far, we had a bunch of pictures to take before the reception.
Including this one of all family members present.
75 of us in all!

If you would like to see/have/print any of the pictures
from the event you can find them here:
