On Valentine's Day we surprised Derek by showing up at his office with balloons.
And chocolate....that Miles spilled on the floor. Twice.
The boys always like to say Hi to this deer target too.
And I always enjoy seeing Derek in his work environment.
Derek's latest project has been a show that airs on the Sportsman Channel called "Bowhunter". This video is a preview of the new season and contains video Derek shot and footage from the first show he edited:
His previous project was a show called "Big Deer" which he really enjoyed. And Bowhunter has been fun too since he's a bowhunter himself. He's picking up hunting tips while he edits, which is just one of the reasons this job is a perfect fit for him. The people he works with and the type of projects suit him so well. I think it's safe to say the job is better than he even expected when he accepted the position almost a year ago. Sure, there are deadlines and long hours once in a while, but nothing that makes him feel negatively about his task, company or position. Overall working for InterMedia Outdoors has been so wonderful for Derek.
It's so fun to see him in a job he enjoys, using his talent and creativity.
I've been wanting to do an update an on Derek's new job, so here it is, it's a two in one post! And you might see another "job update" when they move offices in the next few weeks!
