Stockings and Elephants

After all the gifts to exchange between cousins had been opened,
Mom brought out her contribution. Stockings.

We tried to separate the kids a little while they opened so we could keep things straight.

But it was pretty much just chaos...  oh well.

Some of us enjoyed watching Lily eat more paper.

And helping the kids figure out new toys.

We also had the kids give Mom her gift... made using the pictures from earlier.

Then the kids continued figuring out new toys.

Or did what ever they wanted unsupervised while the adults started our "white elephant" style exchange.

We decided to try it again this year...  every adult brought a nice $10-$20 gift.  Dad opened another skateboard first!

Which Drew stole from him once it was his turn... since it was the gift he brought and wanted.

So Dad got to open a new gift.

And then everyone eventually opened/stole a gift.

Grandpa stole his own gift back from someone.

And Derek opened the one he'd brought.

Pretty sure all but one of the guys went home with the gift they brought.

Us girls were more adventurous with it and got some fun surprises.

Then we just spent time visiting and relaxing.

It was a fun day with family...

My sister, Angie, with Ronnie and Josiah, Jacob, Jaedyn and Jonah.

My sister, Mandy, with Jonathan and Ethan.

My sister, Mona, with Keith, Drake, Lily and Royce.

Me with Derek, Cooper and Miles.

My brother Drew and his new wife, Candice.  Who fits right in with this crazy bunch!  We love her.

Grandpa and my brother, Greg, were there too....  this is the best photo op they got.  :)

Thanks for a fun, memorable time, Mom and Dad!

  1. I'm really behind on blog watching... so much to take in, but your family picture wins the LOL award! Apparently no one but Cooper got the clothing optional memo?? Ha!
