Every year just after Christmas, the homeschool basketball program that I played for hosts an alumni game. My sister and I decided (about an hour before the game) to go play this year. It's always fun to see other alumni... although most of these girls are much younger than me...
Mandy and I ended up playing a lot more than we'd anticipated. Some years there are a lot of girls. This year there were only seven of us playing.
We had a great cheering section to keep us dragging ourselves up and down the floor playing hard.
At least they paid enough attention to know we were out there.
And thanks to grandparents who kept track of kids while we played.
And even keeping them from joining the game.
Cooper and Ethan had fun playing during the game.
My brother, Drew, played too. He's the blur with the red "N" on his shirt. He's still fast and in shape. Maybe we should organize a girls pick up game now and then so we are too?
His new wife Candice was there too. She had fun stunting with the alumni and current cheer leaders. She's in the red shirt on the bottom left. She also played the alumni volleyball game that morning.
Mandy and I may or may not have laid on the floor after the game for a funny we're-exhausted picture. We may or may not have had more trouble getting back up than we'd anticipated! It was worth the fun. :)
