Derek's brother Trey is attending a Bible College on Maui this semester. He had a break in classes during the week we were in Hawaii. So we got him a plane ticket to join us on Oahu for a couple days. We picked him up from the airport in the morning and headed for a hike to the Lanikai Pillbox.
Parts of the hike were tricky but the boys were able to handle it okay.
And there were some great views!
We stopped every little bit to enjoy them.
And to take a picture.
It was beautiful up there.
And did I mention great for photo ops?
This is the pillbox we hiked to. There are more but we didn't go any higher.
The Pillboxes are abandoned bunkers used in WWII to protect the coastline.
Cooper climbed inside. (Because I wouldn't let him climb on top!)
And a couple more photo ops.
It was fun to have Trey along to take pictures for us!
And then we headed back down to see what other fun we could find.
