En Route and Arrival

We got up at 3am on October 5th, got ready and headed to the airport.
The boys were excited and did really well flying for the first time.

They both slept at least a little and found other ways to entertain themselves.

We took three different planes with layovers in Chicago and Phoenix.  On the last and longest flight to Honolulu, Cooper sat beside a couple and entertained them the whole time.  This gentleman had Cooper calling him PawPaw by the end of the flight.  Cooper enjoyed watching "PawPaw" play Sudoku.

So he ripped a page out and let Cooper give it a try.
Cooper just randomly wrote numbers in the boxes and had a grand time.

We made it!  Time to stretch and run!

And there is Aunt Anna!

She welcomed us each with a lei.

We went to Anna's house, grabbed a snack, changed clothes and headed to the beach.

First glimpse of the ocean.

As soon as Miles got to the sand he started playing.

Cooper got right to enjoying the waves.

Miles finally made it to the water to experience it himself.

Aunt Anna played with them.

And took them in the water.

She even saved Miles when Cooper plowed over him with the boogie board!

Then kept him safe building sand castles.

While Derek and Jared went out to do a little surfing.

Miles watched Cooper boogie board. Cooper quickly decided he loved this and didn't even mind the waves tossing him around.

Miles just ran from the waves though.

Our goggles finally getting used in the ocean...

Miles didn't use his in the ocean, he would have had to get through the waves.  But he still posed for a picture.

Cooper got a quick surf lesson too.

And rode a wave to shore on his belly.

Miles is ready to give it a try too!
But again... those waves are a little scary to him.

We went back to Anna and Jared's condo and had dinner at the pool patio.  We'd been up for almost 24 hours by the time we got to bed.  We slept great that night!
