Collecting Cache

Cooper had a great Birthday, I'll post all about it later.
But this post is about a little hobby he has been enjoying with his Daddy.  Geocaching.  You use a GPS, or smartphone in our case, to find coordinates where a 'cache' (pronounced "cash") is located. They're all over town, in parking lots, parks and sometimes even people's yards.  When you find a cache you add your name to the list and put it back for someone else to find.
Cooper's opinion: Modern Day Treasure Hunting!

There are all different types of containers and some really do have little 'treasures' inside.
You can keep one if you put something of equal or greater value in its place.

Cooper took a handful of things to exchange,
so he came home with a pocket full of different treasures then he left with.

Derek was sending me pictures of each cache they found.
This picture cracks me up!

One last cache for the day... this one was tiny!

Geocaching...  a fun new hobby.

  1. I keep hearing about this, but didn't know what it was. Thank you Amy, for the detailed description. And Cooper and Derek for the demonstration. Looks like fun!
