Working Hard and Having Fun

When I picked Cooper up after Granny Camp on Friday, Drew came back with us.

The rest of the family planned on coming up on Sunday to celebrate Derek's birthday.

Drew won't admit it, but by the end of his stay I'm positive 

he was sick of three year old games, tv shows and conversation.  :)

Thanks for spending some time with us Drew... these guys loved it!

Plans changed a little when Derek's Mom ended up not feeling well.
Just Dale and Trey came up on Saturday.
Mostly to get a load of fire wood...

From the tree that fell on Tyler & Lauren's house during a storm the night before!!

They're okay although it was a bit of a mess.

After the tree was taken care of and the roof covered with tarps,
Uncle Trey made some time to come hang with Miles:

Tyler & Lauren brought pizza over to thank everyone for working so hard.
(And they let the rest of us eat too  :)

So we went ahead and celebrated Derek's birthday!

He requested the same kind of cake I made for his birthday last year.
He really likes cherries and this cake has lots of them.

His family also had a gift for him:

And then he looked for himself.  It is...a Playstation3.

He was surprised and excited!  He's wanted one for a long time.

This was from everyone but it was his younger brothers that were the
masterminds behind it.  Mainly Drew, he's been watching for a used one and
even traded in some of his own equipment to make the deal...  THANKS GUYS!

So glad we got to celebrate with those that could make it!
