VBS/PBS

Cooper went to VBS last week. (He called it PBS) It wasn't at our church since ours doesn't start that young.  But since Church of the Harvest is right around the corner and theirs starts at three years old, and the theme was Phineas and Ferb, a favorite show right now, it seemed perfect!
It was Wednesday-Friday nights from 6-8:30pm.
One night when I picked him up there was a hot air balloon in the parking lot.

I only had my phone to take a photo, but we both thought it was neat. And HUGE!

Another night when I picked him up he had funny colored hair!
Cooper was on the orange team, each team wore a different colored shirt.

On Saturday morning they rented out a theater for everyone to go see Cars 2!
Sorry for the blurry phone pictures.
Derek was out of town for the weekend and took the camera since it was for a shoot.

Cooper was ready to watch the movie!

Cooper didn't remember being in a theater before (Toy Story 3 with Aunt Anna was the last time) We did pretty good and Miles slept through part of it, but we don't know how it ends...We almost made it to the end, but that was a long time for these guys to sit still.

There was a 'final rally' on Sunday morning that we went to.  This is where I learned what Cooper had been singing about.  He kept singing, "Everybody get up, and freeze you!" It's actually "Praise" not "Freeze" and is this Planetshakers song:
Cooper loves anything that involves being around people and he had tons of fun at this VBS.  He learned new Bible stories, verses and quite a few songs.  It was great fun that we'll look into again next year for sure!

  1. My boys never would have gone to a new place all on their own at 3...way to go Cooper! That show is a favorite around here, too. And, we missed the end of the first Cars in the theater. Grayson was not even 2, and Tate wasn't even born!
