When Cooper woke up Friday morning I told him we were having a Christmas
tonight and he said, "Because its snowing!".
Then he looked outside and saw there was hardly any snow left and said,
"Uh Oh, the snow is drying up!". I'm glad it doesn't have to snow to have Christmas but
I'm with Cooper. Snow means Christmas.... I'd like to have a little. :)
After dinner we moved into the living room and
Derek read the Christmas Story from Cooper's Bible.
The first gift passed out was from Cooper to Miles:
Cooper helped Miles open it:
And then helped him play with it.
Next Cooper got to open one from Mommy & Daddy:
We had fun taking time to play with gifts between opening them:
Cooper was excited about this one!
Now he's SuperWhy!
"Super Readers to the rescue!"
This get up was helpful handing out the gift he got for Daddy:
And Mommy:
And opening another himself:
Miles had a gift for Cooper too:
"Thanks, Miles!"
And what Christmas is complete without a
"Here, open these at the same time."?
Monkey towels for my little monkeys!
And the boys got these for each other.
(with a little help from Mommy and the clearance rack at the Carter's outlet :)
When Cooper helped me wrap Miles' he said, "This is so he can go hunting with me?"
So Cooper was excited to get camouflage himself too.
Cooper also got a gift that "required" these:
Nerf Gun!
And last...whats in this one?
His bow and arrow!
We ended the evening with homemade cheesecake and {decaf} coffee:
We had a great evening together celebrating Jesus' Birth.
Wow - that picture of the cheesecake is so good I can almost taste it! And no calories from looking at the picture!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the pics. It's like being there. What a neat tradition you've started!
You'll have to explain who SuperWhy is to me sometime. I'm out of the loop on the newest heros for the toddler group :) I haven't heard any of my 3 yr olds mention SuperWhy.
I LOVE the gifts you got the boys! Specifically the SuperWhy costume and the bow and arrow. Care to share where you shop??
ReplyDeleteBrenda- I linked the words SuperWhy to a fun little video clip. It's a learning show on PBS.
ReplyDeleteKalinda - We found the costume (It's called a roll play kit on the box) randomly at Marshalls. The bow is at Wal-Mart.
Looks like you had a fun early Christmas.. Have fun in Wichita with your familys..Gma & Gpa VG
