BIG Weekend!

This weekend we went to Jamaica, Iowa to celebrate Derek's Grandpa Gordie's 70th Birthday!!

We have hundreds of pictures, so here is a little recap of the entire weekend.
Since there was a lot of family there for the event, we stayed with the other set of grandparents.

This picture was at the Mleynek Farm... Cooper's first four wheeler ride:

Cooper was in "Doggie Heaven" with all the doggies around!
We went over to Uncle Dennis' (Derek's Dad's brother) farm.
He raises grayhounds for racing. Cooper loved seeing them all!

He also enjoyed meeting their pet dog Ozzy:

Running with the grayhounds:

That afternoon we went to the Van Gundy farm.
You're sure to get a ride on an antique tractor there! Cooper loved it!

Derek met his new cousin Zella:

Back over at the Mleynek Farm, Cooper stole Grandpa Don's toothpick!

The next day we went to decorate the community building for the party.
We played at the park while we waited for the key to arrive:

That night was the BIG party! There was a great turn out to honor
Grandpa Gordie and it was a great time!

How many people does it take to light 70 candles???

It only took one to blow them out! Good job, Grandpa!!

  1. That last picture is so fun, all of the kids together. Looks like Cooper enjoys his Iowa roots. He seems pretty at home on the farm!

  3. 1. it is my FAVORITE when cooper is wearing that little white onesie!! can you just let him wear it all day one day when it is hot?

    2. i think this might be one of the first posts where that little cute girl mikiah is not holding a puppy!

    3. love the coordinating outfits, was unaware there were so many mleyneks. it seems like they are always growing.

    4. you have a Huge family, cannot believe there were so many guests to necessitate a push cart to deliver pieces of cake. also, what kind of cake was it? buttercream frosting? any kind of filling? was the cake he blew the candles out a "show cake", and you had a sheet cake in the back that you served to guests? and was it truly 70 candles?

    5. cooper is not scared of all those dogs behind the fences? i was kind of scared looking at the picture.
