New Year

We've had a pretty uneventful New Year so far. We've stayed in town for a few weekends in a row so we've had a chance to get some things done around the house. We cleaned up and organized the basement. (Derek's space) It's still a little cluttered, but you should have seen it before! Here are some pictures:






We've also been hit with some winter weather... everything is covered with snow and ice... including our front steps. Derek found that out the hard way when he went out to get the mail in his slippers! He slipped on the second step and slid all the way to the bottom "Home Alone Style"!! We only laughed until we cried because he wasn't hurt! Nothing except his pride anyway... and since the next door neighbor was out and saw the whole thing... it brought on Derek's first conversation with him! :)
