Since my parent's neighborhood association swimming pool is across the street from their house, it gets used a lot while we're all visiting! Some spend longer than others at the pool, but it's great for running over for a short time too, or adults running back and forth, switching places to cover all responsibilities at the house all while having an adult with kids at the pool at all time.
Miles takes pool time very seriously. 😎
This was the day that Derek had to leave to go to the woods and prep for fall hunting. But Uncle Jared stayed around to make sure the kids were roughed up enough.
And throw them around a little.
These cousins always have some sort of game going on.
Back at the house, Grandma always has some sort of snack going on.
She feeds them well, and also puts the kids to work when needed. Shucking corn for dinner was on the to-do list.
My brother, Drew, showed up with balloons leftover from a work event.
That occupied quite a few little people for a while. And Great Grandpa too!
Uncle Jared took a turn roughing up the littles.
Papa helped build towers before dinner too.
My Dad's sister and family came for dinner that evening.
With that many people, there's a kids table.
And an 'eat wherever you can find a place' policy.
Once dinner was over, we went outside.... to play dress up? Owen liked the girl's hats!
Apparently, so does Great Grandpa!
Papa blew bubbles while Daisy played with Aunt Sarah's puppy.
And, of course, more wagon rides!
This was a hit all around! :)
The big boys ended up back at the pool for an evening swim since my cousin, TJ, really wanted to swim.
He's the same age as my oldest nephew and all these guys get along great.
...when there is enough cheesecake to go around. 😃
Whew! All the pool and playing wore us out! Back to Grandma Debbie's for the night!
