Beetle Bug

We like bugs around here.

We never walk in from the car without inspecting the sidewalk for them.

And then have to compare notes on what kind it is.

And if it's dead or alive.

Cooper tried to work up the courage to pick up this one.

It was a bigger one than we usually find and he wasn't sure it was dead.

Miles offered to help make sure, but Cooper talked him out of it.

Daddy picked it up so we could get a better look.

He held it so the boys could look.

And we decided it was definitely dead.

Dead or not, both boys jumped when they got close and Daddy made a scary noise.

But Cooper decided to go ahead and hold it.

And tried to return the favor and scare Daddy.

And then, just in case, decided to finish him off before heading inside.
