We helped out at a a spring grounds clean up and planting day at church.
One of the guys was working on a vent on the side of the building and
found a birds nest that needed to be removed. And it had baby birds in it!
The kids took it upon themselves to hunt for worms to feed the babies.
Miles decided he was keeping his worm though.
He loved it and cared for it and gave it a bath.
That was when he misplaced it in the water.
So he helped water newly planted flowers so he could look for his worm in the water.
He did find it again and put it in the dirt where it could live.
...although I don't think that's what it will be doing really. It was more of a burial.
The kids played on the playground most of the time we worked.
Miles prefers this style of swinging.
After we finished pulling weeds, planting a few flowers and laying mulch...
We ate Avanti's pizza and subs!
And relaxed a little after working. (Or playing)
