After Michelle's wedding in Iowa, Derek went home to Oklahoma to work for a few days while the rest of us rode to Wichita with Derek's parents... since that was week was Thanksgiving. We got there in time to say Hi to Daisy Dog.
And get in on bedtime devotions at my parent's house.
Staying there for a few days meant lots of cousin time.
Cousin eating.
And cousin playing.
We all tried pretty hard to win over Hayden, who isn't so sure of us.
There was plenty of time for fishing at "Papa's Pond".
And Papa took all the kids for burgers one day for lunch.
There was a little homework to do...
But we also made time for porch sitting with Great Grandpa.
And time to take a look at Great Grandma's scrapbooks. This is her favorite when anyone comes down to spend time. Sadly, her dementia is progressing so much that she has trouble remembering who came to say Hi. And also has trouble keeping the right names with the photos.
We did some at home hair saloning.
The only way you can get away with giving hair services in your PJs! 😂
And it's Grandma's house, there were donuts.
But we did some baking too.
And I drank as many of Dad's lattes as he could get made with his Father's Day gift, an espresso machine!
