The last morning at the river was a bit foggy, but NO RAIN!! yay!
So we hit the river bank to see if the trout were hungry.
It doesn't matter, these guys will fish if nothing is biting.
But they did! There were enough that everyone got to net one.
Owen didn't get his own, but will gladly pose with any fish on our stringer.
Miles had time to grab a few more creatures.
Then we headed back to tear down our campsite.
And eat some Frito Chili Pie for lunch.
The boys smiled and talked Daddy into some more fishing before we hit the road.
Though we didn't have as much success. Which is frustrating for boys that can see the fish in the clear spring fed water! ha. But middle of the day fishing isn't the best.
So we headed to the swimming hole for a while.
It was COLD!! But the boys had fun splashing around.
And did eventually take a swim.
Cooper and Miles ended up swimming all the way across.
That's when Miles caught a trout with his bare hands!
Yep, he might have whispered to it and it came to him? I don't know!
We drip dried them, changed them back into clothes and headed for home.
Completing another great getaway to Roaring River State Park!
