We're Going to the Gathering Place!

Summer has been great. :)  Cooper and Miles have enjoyed sleeping in a bit.

But on this day, we had things to do!  We had decided to go to the Gathering Place.  If you don't have time to watch over two minutes of Owen trying to wake his brother up, it's okay.  But I'm documenting it here because it's pretty funny. 😂😴

Faves:   

"It's me, Owen."    

"You two are not waking up!"   

"We're going to the Gavering Place, boys!"  

"Why are you rolling on me everywhere?!"

 We did finally get around and out the door!  We parked on the opposite side of the park than last time, since there was no movie in the park and the main lot was available.  So we saw things we missed last time.

Did I mention it was a really hot day? ha.  These guys found a shaded spot with chair pretty quick.

Though they did their fair share of playing.  This cracked me up, they don't play like this often anymore. :) 

Thankfully there are a lot of shaded play areas too.

And all of them are unusual and fun!

We took time to rest often, and review the map. 

This also allowed time for creature capturing. 

We stayed hydrated, and had a picnic lunch.

The boys posed for me...  of course.

Then Owen did the zip line with a little help from his big bros.

No help needed to lead the way though, just ask him!  ha.

I like the Gathering Place.  But I don't really like these type of playing contraptions! 

I just cover my eyes and hope no one falls to the ground! 🙈

Then...   we found the water areas!  Hallelujah! 

It didn't take long to shed shoes.

And get wet to cool off.

There were so many fun water areas!

And a systems of dividers and things to move the water around. 
We spent quite a bit of time doing that.

A little time drying off and replacing shoes on feet...

Then Owen led the way out.

We did make it back to the car, then we needed to stop at Aldi for some groceries.
Owen had a birthday gift card from G'ma Debbie!

Maybe I was delirious from the heat, but I let him spend it on an inflatable pool.

....and fuzzy Paw Patrol slides. 

FYI: Derek strongly dislikes baby pools and the mess they create. ha. So we had to text and clear it with him.  He said it was okay as long as he wouldn't be held responsible for any of the care.
