The Making of Independence Day Shirts

We somehow started this tradition of DIY Independence Day shirts.  After a lot of discussion about design and patterns, the boys each made their decision and we put our plan into action. 

We covered the table and got out the paint.

And off they went!

We soon realized my design flaw though since the way I made the stripes didn't give Miles' tarantula an outline, making hard to tell what it was.

He got out a brown sharpie, all his idea, and fixed it quickly. :)

Owen's tape/freezer paper was still on and I was able to outline his quickly. 

And DONE!   Though it's never flawless and 'easy'! 😂
