Our first road trip in the 'new' van was to Iowa for Independence Day. Despite the looks on our faces, we were excited. :)
We got there around midnight, so we snuck in and went to bed. After a short night's sleep, we got up and ready to celebrate, finding G'pa was already out getting tractors ready for the parade.
Most of us headed for town.
The omelette breakfast was up first!
This is a fun annual event where you choose what you'd like in your omelette and go have it cooked.
Then sit and visit while you eat it.
Or be silly with cousins. :)
And drink coffee. Lots of coffee for me.
Then we ran back out to the farm so the tractor guys could drive them back for the parade.
There was a little time to catch toads between events. And try and keep them away from Aunt Mik's dog, Nala.

Or try and keep ahold of them for the photo... Owen. ha.
Miles rode to town on the tractor with Derek, so these two played a quick game of ping-pong before we drove to town.
But soon it was time to get ready to watch.
Ready to catch some candy, kids?
😂😂😂
