We got home from the aquarium and Derek got home from work, just in time to leave again. :) Owen chose Cane's for dinner. A choice very much influenced by his big brothers, who had tried it out for the first time with the neighbor's recently. ha.
Next we went to the Gathering Place, something we'd been wanting to check out together since Miles' field trip there. We had to park really far away and walk in, then realized it was because it was Movie on the Lawn night!
But since we didn't want to watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, we headed off to play.
Guys, this place is HUGE! It's hard to ever describe what it is. In short, it's like a huge park. There are playgrounds everywhere, but there are also trails and restaurants.
And too much to see in one evening!
Oh, and there is sand. Only on some playgrounds, but plenty went home with us.
We climbed around and up and through so many things!

I snapped a couple of the "Birthday Boys" since Derek's birthday is the day after Owen's.
And all the boys took a turn on the zip line!
Bonus: There are really nice, air conditioned, restrooms! And in some, everything is small. Owen LOVED this!
