Splash Pad

One summer day, I asked the boys to go put on their swim trunks.  Miles, my class clown, came back wearing Derek's!  Owen had a little trouble figuring his out too.

Eventually, everyone was dressed in proper swim attire, and we headed to a local splash pad.

Or "plash pad" as Owen says...
he doesn't pronounce the 's' on the beginning of certain words.
Sometimes sounding hilarious.
Example: Squish = Quish  :)

Speaking of squish...

They were trying to all sit on a spout and not let the water out.

They tried laying on them too.

Then checked out some of the other water fountains.

One looked like a fire hydrant.

And could be turned to aim.

At some point, the big boys left Owen to entertain himself.

Because they'd spotted a drainage ditch/creek.

They spent the remainder of our time looking for creatures and even catching a couple crayfish.

I made them come clean off and dry out.

A fun afternoon at the "plash pad"!
