Morning at the Zoo

We're trying to take advantage of the thoughtful gift, of a zoo membership, that our Life Group in Peoria gave us.  So while still summer, we spent the morning getting more acquainted with the Tulsa Zoo.

The chimps are easily our favorites, and we love the baby, Enloe!
He doesn't disappoint, and always entertains.

I won't bore you with photos of every animal, but on this day,
a cute little cat was curled up for us to see.

But my gross boys we actually prefer the creepy crawly kind of creatures.

Like tarantulas.  Miles is still trying to convince us that one would make a good pet.

But, we moved on.

And stopped for snacks.

Where a peacock joined us.

Miles joked that it thought Cooper was it's friend and fellow peacock! :)

We also always tour the snake building...
because the boys are seriously trying to convince me one of those would be a great pet too!

I distracted them with a photo on a boat.  haha.

I love to watch the sea lions!
Maybe it's because I love the peace and tranquility of being underwater.

Cooper loves penguins and, after several tries, we got his "Penguin Selfie".

The penguins were following the boys' fingers through the glass which was fun.

Video Evendence:

Owen wanted his photo with the meerkat statue...
since we couldn't seems to catch a real one.

On the way out the boys picked up fish food off the ground so they could feed the fish.

This went on for a long time.  Fish..  fish.   Because we never see any of those.
