2018 AudioFeed Fest: First Full Day

Good Morning!  It's our first full day at AudioFeed!

There was a hospitality room that served all the band breakfast and dinner.  It was a wonderful woman volunteering and running this ministry with donations.  It was extremely helpful to us that week and we were grateful!

Most days, shows started around 12pm.  Our first full day, our friends from Desiring Dead Flesh were up first.

Derek took a phone call and spent some time working right as their show started.

But the fun ensued inside the tent!!

For one of their songs, they threw out stuffed animals that were intended to get ripped apart.

Which they did.

This is when I realized Miles was missing from the action and located him right outside the tent.  A white teddy bear hidden safely from the crowd trying to tear it to shreds. (Can you see it?) 😂🐻😂

When the show was over, we headed back to the camper for lunch.

And teddy came too.  :::sigh:::

Then it was nap time.  Turns out Miles wasn't feeling great and started running a fever.

With a nap and some meds, he was up and going to take a walk in the afternoon rain.

We went to check out Destroy Nate Allen and found Marshall holding an umbrella while they did their show.

But the rain soon let up enough that there was no need for the umbrellas.

A little later we headed over to see the Insomniac Folklore acoustic fan request show.

They took fan requests and it was fun time.

We braved the mud that evening and went to see Bub Walker and the TombsTones.  A friend from our church in Peoria is the bass player, so after we got messy from the muddy beach balls thrown around, we got to say hi to her after the show.

Then made the muddy walk back to get cleaned up for bed.
