Owen likes to cuddle when he wakes up in the morning.
In the hotel with such close quarters, it was pretty easy for him to find someone to snuggle.
Meanwhile Miles was re-recording some early morning sound effect for the music video.
We got ready and headed to breakfast, where Owen discovered hotel bacon is just as good as hotel sausage!
This was school field day! I dropped boys off then volunteered to help.
As soon as we got out of our van, Owen slipped in this mud.
Ewww.
Ugh.
Good thing we were in charge of a game that involved water and sponges!
We filled our buckets and got ready to play.
The kids were split into two teams and had to pass a wet sponge over their heads. The team with the most water in their bucket was the winner.
We were stationed right next to the chalk... so Owen played there too.
He joined Cooper's class when they were drawing.
They were also getting face paint.
Then came to play our game.
Miles was somewhere out there, but his class never made it to our station.
Owen found his binky in my pocket and sat on a stool for a break.
Then on a bucket when we went to watch the tug of war.
All the students and staff gather for this!
And we finally found Miles!
Cooper's class was there too.
It was fun to cheer them on and hear all the students cheer for each other.
Each class chanted a teacher's name to cheer for
...most of them choosing to cheer for classes that had siblings in them.
Last, the fourth grade classes (who all move to middle school in the fall) pulled against the staff.
I missed some of it since I couldn't see my phone and thought I was recording, but wasn't...ha. But the kids won and were really excited!
That wrapped things up. Good thing too...
It was hot. Owen was hungry. And it was nap time.
