Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! :)
Given the circumstances of the week leading up to Easter, we didn't get our traditional Easter photo shoot accomplished.  I did snap a couple photos of the boys right before church though.  And right before it started snowing.  yeah.

We had a lot to celebrate though!   Jesus is risen!  He's alive!

We also made it to church on time.  Leaving packed and ready to go on a road trip immediately after church. AND: leaving the house ready for showings while we were gone!  All accomplished with Derek having to leave at 7am for worship practice.  There are Easter miracles all over this! :)

Instead of donuts that morning, our pastor's daughter made (delicious!!) cupcakes.  With coffee icing.

She made cookies too!

After a great church service celebrating Jesus' resurrection, we hit the road.   We did it!  All of it.  I might have shed some tears at this point, maybe from the let down of it, maybe because of the house being officially listed and the reality of the page turning to a new chapter in our lives.  Or all of it.

It was officially spring break for the boys, so we were headed to Tulsa to do some house hunting! With plans to get the boys to Wichita to stay with their Grandparents for the week.  Owen entertained himself with toys we were taking to Grandma's house for her playroom.

This trip took us right past the Arch in St Louis!

Then got a little nerve wracking as the snow turned into ice.

To distract myself from the road conditions, I kept checking the app on my phone to see if we'd gotten any feedback from the showing that was scheduled at the house that afternoon.  I wasn't sure how soon to expect it, but was curious what the first feedback would be...  I pulled it up and saw nothing. Again.  Then said to Derek, "You don't think they're working on an offer....." as my phone rang and it was our realtor calling!!  We were in the Ozarks though and as soon as we said "hello", the call dropped! haha.  We found a place to stop for gas and cell service.... got a phone call to go through to our realtor and found out that, yes, we had in fact received a full price offer from the FIRST showing!!  What an answer to so many prayers!!  We'd asked several groups of friends and family to pray with us that the house would sell quickly, my wish being that it would sell while we were away for the week and I wouldn't have to worry about leaving for showings. :)  I knew it was a long shot, but my exact words were....  "But God!".   He is faithful!!   And we're so thankful for the way He loves us.

We've explained to Owen that we're moving to a new house, and since then, every time we leave the house at all he asks, "Are we going to our new house now?".  It's confusing.  When we arrived (safely, after finally driving out of the ice storm) at our hotel in Tulsa that night, he asked,"Is this our new house?"!!  Haha.  So confusing.
