Parental Petulance @ ThePoint

Our Church youth group, ThePOINT, hosted a fun evening of music and fun! Marshall put together a great line up.

We arrived and set our gear in the hallway where it would stay until it was our turn to set up.  Owen likes to help with gear.

It didn't take the boys long to find glow sticks, and Levi & Knox.  Maybe because they were already wearing glow sticks? :)

Soon, the show go going.  Chris Lefler was up first, we saw his band, The Inhumans, when we played together in October.  He was great as a solo act too.

The boys did end up entertaining themselves with Jenga blocks though.

Another solo artist, Dan Wilton, played next, he was great and had impressive talent.

Zeal...  who is a hip hop artist was next.  Insert Cooper's dance moves! ha.  He was a little timid at first.

But by the time the next artist, Point5, started, he was all warmed up and ready to bust his moves.

Non-stop!

Owen found out there were snacks being served in the back.  And I still feel like I should apologize to the youth for all the popcorn in the pool table.

Egypt Speaks played her set on one side of the room, while we quickly set up on the other.

 Then it was our turn!

Crazy how fun this is, even with a small crowd, and all while wrestling my kids.  Owen was sleepy already and in a cranky mood, he wanted to stand with me and even crawled in beside Derek once.  He set the tone for our type of show well, I guess! ha.

The videos a friend took are low quality, but it documents the fun.

My favorite part of this show was when Ashley did a side kick when the drums come in! haha.  It was awesome.

So was the 'Family Friendly Circle Pit'!!

Desiring Dead Flesh closed things out in they're typical rowdy style.

My boys get into it...  and they ended their last song letting everyone pound on the drum set as usual!

Before we left, Cooper got a Point5 CD and had him sign it.

Then we loaded gear and headed home to put sleepy kids to bed.  Barely got them to sleep before midnight!  Whew.  Roadies.
