We arrived at the school for "Fine Arts Night" and Cooper headed to meet his classmates in their classroom.
I took Miles and Owen to find a seat in the gym.
(Derek's seat was in a tree stand in Kansas that week, so he wasn't with us.)
Soon, all the kids filed in and the show started. The third graders performed a few songs first.
Then the fourth graders took the stage. Cooper is hidden from view, we couldn't even see him. Ha.
But since he had a speaking part to open one of the songs, we got to see him walk up to the mic.
Then after saying his line.... he disappeared back into the crowd. :)
By then, Owen required the snacks I'd brought along to try and keep him still.
Next the kids in Music Club took the stage.
As I was taking a video I noticed Miles singing along with Supercalifagilisticexpialidocious... he knew it well since Cooper had been practicing that one at home. a.lot.
Owen was getting bored, but thankfully, the snacks were doing their job of keeping him entertained.
The show ended with all the kids standing up to sing the Kellar "Fight Song".
I thought it was fun and the kids sang pretty enthusiastically.
The third and fourth grade artwork was displayed (and auctioned) in the hallway, so we checked out Cooper's on the way to pick him up from his classroom.
We enjoyed Fine Arts night!
