The night before Owen's Birthday, which was still Father's Day, the big boys decorated his door.
They don't usually wake up before him, but since Owen had totally skipped a nap the day before, he slept in!
The big boys couldn't wait for him to wake up!
Apparently, neither could Daddy... I heard him whistle a little at him to try and stir him! He wanted to say Happy Birthday to him before he left for work.
So Derek called to him and then we all sat in the living room and waited...
After that awakening...
There was a little time to play with all the balloons.
Cooper and Miles had a plan all along to take them off the door as soon as Owen woke up so they could play with them.
Owen took a GOOD nap that afternoon.
So that gave us time to get gifts ready.
And make cupcakes. Owen got to try one when he woke up.
Frosting first, of course.
He approves!
And then he noticed the gifts. But we were waiting for Daddy to get home before opening them.
So we busted out the party hats to distract Owen while we waited.
