AWANA Wrap Up 2017

My big boys look forward to AWANA every Wednesday evening all school year.  The church we take them to does a great job and we enjoy participating in the fun theme nights.  Owen cries for his big brothers every time we drop them off.  He can't wait until he can be an actual part of the program.
Here they are on "Wacky Tacky Night":

And "Dress Like a Pirate" night:

On "Goofy Glasses" night, my guy opted for goofy goggles.

On "Dress Like Your Favorite Bible Character" night, Cooper was Shepard boy David.  Miles was young Moses living in the palace.

Then on "What I Want to Be When I Grow Up" night, Miles was an Entomologist, Cooper was a YouTuber. (Shall I spare you my eye roll?)

There is also a family meal the first Wednesday of every month.  They serve great meals, but pizza night is always a hit!

That brings us to this year's closing program.

The kids sang the AWANA theme song and said scripture verses learned throughout the year.

Owen watched from the front row.

Though he got a little restless.

And ended up on the floor for part of the awards.

Until he figured out it was kind of fun to join in the applause every after every name called.

Each child was introduced and awarded with their age group.

After they received their award, they came to sit with us.

So Owen got his hands on the award ribbon.

Once it was all wrapped up, we headed downstairs for cookies and ice cream bars!

A great way to wrap up the AWANA year.
