Adventures of Shopping with Owen

I've posted about shopping with Owen before.  But since we often run errands while his big brothers are at AWANA, there are always more adventures.  Every time he realizes we have an Aldi cart without a working buckle, he does this move!

While wheeling through the snack aisle on this visit, Owen yelled, "Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!" until I finally backed up to see what he was after.  It was cookies. :)

I tried to exchange these for the chewy variety, but he hollered, "Blue!!" until he had these. Ha.

In the next aisle he said, "Frog! Sit!" and patted the cart seat next to him. 😂

In the next aisle, he said, "Minion!".
I wasn't even sure he knew what they were... apparently he does!

He often says, "shopping", which means he wants to walk.  I let him walk the store one time when we only ran in for two things...  so ever since then, "shopping" means walking through the store.  He doesn't walk along all that well though.

I broke open the cookies to try and distract him while I bagged groceries.  He crawled under the bagging counter to eat his cookies. 😝

Another day, at HyVee, we found a cart he didn't mind staying in!

Yet another day, at Dollar Tree, I let him walk again.
He made himself quite at home with a Thomas coloring book and was bummed I wouldn't open a box of "cuh-lees" (colors).

But he soon found the lizards and forgot about colors altogether.

Then decided to dump an entire box of balls to find the blue one!

Speaking of...   😂😂😂

One evening, Derek took Cooper to baseball practice and Miles went along.  So I bribed Owen into helping me spend some birthday money at the mall.  He rode the boat...

The "Clifford" dog...

And "Thomas"!!  He saw this as we went into the mall and said, "Thomas" on repeat the entire time I shopped!   So I let him sit in it on the way out.

He's pretty easily entertained...   Like with some styrofoam inside a clearance Easter bucket.  Immediately following this photo he tried to eat it!!!

Owen isn't the only entertainment while shopping.
While checking out the Easter buckets, Miles asked, "Will I have to throw up in this?"!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

We do use them as barf buckets later...
😀
