For Christmas Evening, we headed over to Bauer's to celebrate with my family. Most of us, especially my sister and her family from El Paso, Texas, were dreaming of a white Christmas. But instead, it was *ahem* nice and warm. Enough that the kids went out to play basketball without coats.
Once they spent some energy and came inside, we opened gifts.
There was a cousin gift exchange first.
My boys got things they loved. Miles' love language is Beanie Boos. :)
Owen got a "Cousin Book" photo book made by Aunt Angie! He loves it and practices saying their names every day.
He also got a cute little vest. π
Which he wore to try out his new shape sorter.
Then Grandpa & Papa gave each of the kids a bag of goodies. Miles didn't waste a moment before trying his candy (cherry sours) from the Nifty Nut House!
Ummm, I'd explain the rest of the gift opening session, but really I have no idea what happened after that. Chaos! Fun chaos!
Finally it was time to enjoy some food. We didn't do a whole meal, just snack type foods.
My brother, Drew, was the mastermind behind these Cheeseburger Kabobs. So good!
And hummus from Bella Luna too.
We had the rest of the evening to eat, hang out and play games.
Derek helped Ethan with a 3D globe puzzle.
Aunt Angie read a book to Owen.
And at some point... I actually think this happened before gifts... we took a photo of everyone. Much to most of their dismay. (eye roll.ha.) Why doesn't everyone love photos as much as I do? π
We even cornered all the cousins!
Then took one of them with G'ma & Papa!
And one last shot of all the 'littles'. There's an average of 6 months between each of them.
Owen snuggled with Jaedyn after it was all over.
Once all the babies were in jammies, they snuggled some more.
And a little more playing before we called it a night.
If you can't tell what is happening in this photo...
Check out the video. π

Awe! Can we do this again....soon!
